With the widely anticipated release of the Tales from the Quarantine comic drawing near, I'm pleased to at last be able to reveal the full extent of my involvement, in that I've written, drawn, inked, coloured and lettered not one but three complete stories for the charity anthology.
INANITION
The first of my contributions to the book, Inanition is a tale of one man's struggle to come to terms with dire, sudden change in the world and how (or if) he faces up to the dystopian future that lies ahead.
PROPINQUITE
Set during the Middle Ages, Propinquite is about a young man who experiences a series of intense daydreams that he seemingly misinterprets as glimpses of Heaven. Illustrated in a style befitting the time, the story is a causal nexus rich in the dualities, symbolism and numerology found in medieval beliefs and superstitions.
THE ALIEN VISITOR
A colourful adventure in which a cute-looking extra-terrestrial appears on Earth one day and tries to make sense of its new surroundings, The Alien Visitor is a silent story derived from the study of semiotics. Drawn in a style that wouldn't look out of place in children's graphic novels and comics such as The Beano.
The never-to-be-repeated Tales from the Quarantine is on sale here. For more information, news and further reveals like this, please see the Tales from the Quarantine and Red Cabin Comics Twitter pages.
