It was nice to see my local newspaper reporting on my involvement with the global Tales from the Quarantine comic book this week. On Monday, the Halesowen News published an article on their website about my three comics appearing in the charity anthology and on Thursday I featured in print, in the Halesowen & Dudley News. Serving the West Midlands town of Halesowen and its surrounding communities (including Rowley Regis, where I live), both features noted my artwork is to appear alongside contributions from well-known names from the comic book world and included a picture of me holding up a copy of the standard Tales from the Quarantine cover art by Rachael Stott, along with glimpses of the artwork I produced for Red Cabin Comics. As per my quote in both articles, the involvement of top-tier talent from all over the world is staggering and I'm proud to be representing the Black Country within its pages.
With variant covers and lots more cool optional extras available, comic fans and collectors can pre-order record-breaking Tales from the Quarantine here for a limited time.

With the widely anticipated release of the Tales from the Quarantine comic drawing near, I'm pleased to at last be able to reveal the full extent of my involvement, in that I've written, drawn, inked, coloured and lettered not one but three complete stories for the charity anthology. INANITION
The first of my contributions to the book, Inanition is a tale of one man's struggle to come to terms with dire, sudden change in the world and how (or if) he faces up to the dystopian future that lies ahead. PROPINQUITE Set during the Middle Ages, Propinquite is about a young man who experiences a series of intense daydreams that he seemingly misinterprets as glimpses of Heaven. Illustrated in a style befitting the time, the story is a causal nexus rich in the dualities, symbolism and numerology found in medieval beliefs and superstitions. THE ALIEN VISITOR A colourful adventure in which a cute-looking extra-terrestrial appears on Earth one day and tries to make sense of its new surroundings, The Alien Visitor is a silent story derived from the study of semiotics. Drawn in a style that wouldn't look out of place in children's graphic novels and comics such as The Beano. The never-to-be-repeated Tales from the Quarantine is on sale here. On Tuesday 10 August, listen to me live on the BBC Radio WM Breakfast Show with Elise Evans! As part of the radio station's What's Up West Midlands series, in which creatives from the region are invited to talk about their careers, I'll be delving into my background as an artist.
Scheduled to be on air at 7:50 am, BBC Radio WM listeners can expect a relaxed, informal chat about how I started out, my influences, work I've done with links to the West Midlands and my current and upcoming projects. #WhatsUpWestMidlands If you've been following the progress of the Tales from the Quarantine charity comic anthology, you'll know the project became successfully funded on Kickstarter back in September 2020. I'm pleased to report that in no time at all, £37,185 was pledged by 814 backers, effortlessly surpassing the £13,000 goal set to make the project a reality. Don't feel disappointed if you missed the campaign though as the comic is now on general sale for a time via the Backerkit pre-order store. With 200 pages crammed with contributions from top comics talent, I strongly recommend you take this opportunity to bag yourself a copy of this one-time-only, never-to-be-repeated publication which is certain to become a notable part of comics history, breaking a few records along the way. All net profits from the sale of Tales from the Quarantine will be donated to the chosen charities Hero Initiative, NHS Together and LYR Fund. Under wraps for the past six months, I’ve at last been given the go-ahead for revealing my involvement in a unique and exciting comic book project. In support of various charities and vital services working tirelessly during current global health concerns, upcoming anthology Tales from the Quarantine is a 200-page comic experience not to be missed! First announced in March 2020 as worldwide lockdown began, 400 comic book writers, artists, colourists and letterers (including over 100 Eisner, Emmy, Hugo and Ringo award winners and nominees) from 60 different countries have since come together to donate time and talent on a scale never-before-seen in comics, obliterating several world records in the process. Created, curated and published by Frazer Brown of Red Cabin Comics, Tales from the Quarantine is a wealth of self-contained, one-page tales exploring the theme of isolation. Readers can expect a variety of fantasy, horror, science-fiction and real-life vignettes intertwined with introspection, humour, passion and drama.
Having written and produced artwork for a tale with a twist which I’m sure readers will enjoy, I’ve been named as a Phase 1 contributor alongside household names such as Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead), Hannah Berry (UK comics laureate), Ed Brubaker (DC, Marvel), Dan Cornwell (Rok of the Reds), PJ Holden (2000 AD), Staz Johnson (Robin, Catwoman), Alex Segura (The Black Ghost) and Declan Shalvey (Thunderbolts) to name just a few. Available for order NOW via Kickstarter pledge, please be advised Tales from the Quarantine will never be reprinted beyond the campaign! With options for all levels of affordability and some fantastic variants and rewards, there’s no reason not to own a copy of this unique, creative reflection of an equally unique time in history!
