In late 2022 I designed a series of posters for the Balls To Cancer charity, which communicated information about how to check oneself for signs of various cancers, provided details on how to get advice and support and advertised ways in which one could support the charity's work.
Capitalising on such an assertive name, my designs were intentionally forward in order to grab the attention of passers by and stand out on fast moving social media feeds. One such example is included here and others have now been added to my website's gallery. Released in January 2023 as a year-long campaign, my designs saw an immediate sharp increase in engagement and this remained consistent for the duration. Phased out in early 2024 for a much more neutered approach, my artwork nonetheless continues to be talked about online to this day, such was the impact.

Over the past few months, I've received numerous messages regarding the Tales from the Quarantine comic anthology, particularly concerning issue of publication. I have also been made aware of recent discourse on Twitter.
I sympathise with Kickstarter backers who are eager to receive the book but are becoming increasingly frustrated by lengthy delay. However, please understand my involvement with the TFTQ project does not extend beyond being a contributor. Though I have donated time and talent in good faith, I am not privy to insider information and, as a reader of comics, I am just as keen to see the digital and print editions as you are. If you have a query or cause for concern that hasn't been addressed by the official updates from Frazer Brown and Red Cabin Comics thus far, please contact them directly. Hopefully, it won't be much longer before distribution of the book begins. A demanding workload has taken up much of my time of late, hence me not posting here for a while nor being very active on Twitter.
I've been busy with lots of graphic design and photography work for corporate clients, with jobs ranging from internal signage and posters to POS design and catalogues; all great for earning money but not what I want dominating my website's gallery! I'm eager to get back to illustrating via traditional means and am keen to progress with personal projects in the new year. I look forward to sharing a couple of exciting things with you hopefully in the not-too-distant future. Thank you to those of you who sent me a message asking if all was well. It was nice to see my local newspaper reporting on my involvement with the global Tales from the Quarantine comic book this week. On Monday, the Halesowen News published an article on their website about my three comics appearing in the charity anthology and on Thursday I featured in print, in the Halesowen & Dudley News. Serving the West Midlands town of Halesowen and its surrounding communities (including Rowley Regis, where I live), both features noted my artwork is to appear alongside contributions from well-known names from the comic book world and included a picture of me holding up a copy of the standard Tales from the Quarantine cover art by Rachael Stott, along with glimpses of the artwork I produced for Red Cabin Comics. As per my quote in both articles, the involvement of top-tier talent from all over the world is staggering and I'm proud to be representing the Black Country within its pages.
With variant covers and lots more cool optional extras available, comic fans and collectors can pre-order record-breaking Tales from the Quarantine here for a limited time. With the widely anticipated release of the Tales from the Quarantine comic drawing near, I'm pleased to at last be able to reveal the full extent of my involvement, in that I've written, drawn, inked, coloured and lettered not one but three complete stories for the charity anthology. INANITION
The first of my contributions to the book, Inanition is a tale of one man's struggle to come to terms with dire, sudden change in the world and how (or if) he faces up to the dystopian future that lies ahead. PROPINQUITE Set during the Middle Ages, Propinquite is about a young man who experiences a series of intense daydreams that he seemingly misinterprets as glimpses of Heaven. Illustrated in a style befitting the time, the story is a causal nexus rich in the dualities, symbolism and numerology found in medieval beliefs and superstitions. THE ALIEN VISITOR A colourful adventure in which a cute-looking extra-terrestrial appears on Earth one day and tries to make sense of its new surroundings, The Alien Visitor is a silent story derived from the study of semiotics. Drawn in a style that wouldn't look out of place in children's graphic novels and comics such as The Beano. The never-to-be-repeated Tales from the Quarantine is on sale here.
